Semilinear, infinite-dimensional control systems defined in Banach spaces are considered. It is generally assumed that the state equation contains both a linear part with a control and a nonlinear part without control function. Moreover, the controls are unconstrained and the operators in the differential state equation depend on time. Using the Schauder fixed-point theorem and semigroup theory, sufficient conditions for QH-exact controllability in a given time interval are formulated and proved. These conditions require the verification of the exact controllability of the linear part of the state equations. Moreover, in the proofs of the main results methods of nonlinear functional analysis are extensively used. Finally, two simple examples which illustrate the theoretical results are presented and discussed. The paper contains also several remarks and comments on controllability problems for infinite-dimensional nonlinear control systems. It should be stressed that similar controllability results can be found in the paper [\textit{K. Balachandran} and \textit{J. P. Dauer}, J. Optimization Theory Appl. 64, 15--27 (1990; Zbl 0666.93011)].
