An existence result of positive solutions for fully second-order boundary value problems (Q901660)

The authors consider a fully nonlinear second-order Dirichlet boundary value problem on the interval \([0,1]\) and prove the existence of a solution assuming superlinear growth with respect to the unknown and its first derivative together with a one-sided Nagumo-type condition on the first derivative. The proof is based on the construction of upper and lower solutions.
