The author provides a list of examples to show that there is no clear-cut distinction between genuinely logical and merely analytic (``lexical'') truths. The ``logicality'' of a sentence rather is a matter of degree. Some philosophical consequences of this view (which was already been put forward by \textit{M. J. Cresswell} in ``Logics and languages'' (London, 1973)) are discussed.
