\((0,k)\)-epi mappings. Applications to complementarity theory (Q5931738)

The author shows how the theory of 0-epi mappings in the sense of \textit{M. Furr}, \textit{M. Martelli} and {it A. Vignoli} [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. IV. Ser. 124, 321-343 (1980; Zbl 0456.47051)] and \(k\)-epi mappings in the sense of \textit{E. U. Tarafdar} and \textit{H. B. Thompson} [J. Aust. Math. Soc., Ser. A 43, 103-126 (1987; Zbl 0623.47072)] may be applied to the solution of complementarity problems. Unfortunately, it is throughout assumed that a certain auxiliary operator is \(k\)-epi, but no suitable sufficient conditions for this are given.
