This paper deals with an extension to closed Sasakian manifolds of the following result of Patodi saying that if two closed Riemannian manifolds are \(p\)-isospectral (i. e. the spectra of their Laplacians on \(p\)-forms coincides) for \( p =0,1,2 \), then the first manifold has constant scalar (resp. sectional) curvature \(c\) (resp. is Einstein) if and only the other one has the same property. The result of the paper under review is that if \( (M_i,\eta_i,g_i,\phi_i,\xi_i) \), with \(i=1,2\), are compact Sasakian manifolds of dimension \(m_i\) at least 5 without boundary and which are \(p\)-isospectral for \(p=0,1,2 \), then (1) they have the same dimension and volume, (2) \( M_1 \) has constant scalar curvature \(c\) if and only \( M_2 \) has constant scalar curvature \(c\), (3) \( M_1 \) is \( \eta \)-Einstein if and only if \( M_2 \) is \( \eta \)-Einstein. (4) \( M_1 \) is a Sasakian space form with constant \( \phi \)-sectional curvature \(c\) if and only \( M_2 \) is a Sasakian space form with constant \( \phi \)-sectional curvature \(c\).
