    The author proves that a smooth real hypersurface \(M\) in \(\mathbb{C}^n\), which is of finite D'Angelo type and admits a weakly contracting \(CR\) automorphism \(f\) is equivalent to a weighted homogeneous hypersurface. Weakly contracting means that \(f\) fixes a point \(p_0\in{M}\) and satisfies \(df(X)-\mu{X}\in T_{p_0}M\cap{J}T_{p_0}M\) for some real \(\mu\) with \(0<|\mu|<1\). As an application, it is proved that a smooth bounded pseudoconvex domain \(\Omega\), whose boundary is of finite D'Angelo type and has a hyperbolic orbit accumulation point is equivalent to a domain that is defined by a weighted homogeneous polynomial. The property required means that there are \(f\in\roman{Aut}(\Omega)\) and \(p\in\Omega\), \(p_{+\infty},p_{-\infty}\in\partial\Omega\) such that \(f^j(p)@>>> p_{+\infty}\), \(f^{-j}(p)@>>>p_{-\infty}\).
