In this interesting paper, the author studies the existence of non-negative periodic solutions to coupled systems of two degenerate parabolic partial differential equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions on a bounded domain involving nonlocal terms in nonlinearity and the so-called \(p(\cdot)\)-Laplacians. Such systems model the reaction-diffusion and interaction between two different biological species sharing the same domain. The results are obtained by the use of the topological degree approach and delicate a priori estimates under rather natural but complicated technical hypotheses.
