To any Garside group \(G\), the authors associate a graph \(\mathcal C_{AL}(G)\) as follows. Vertices are the left cosets \(g\Delta^{\mathbb Z}\) where \(\Delta\) denotes a Garside element. Edges between \(g\Delta^{\mathbb Z}\) and \(h\Delta^{\mathbb Z}\) are defined in terms of special elements \(x\) which satisfy \(gx\in h\Delta^{\mathbb Z}\) for suitable representatives \(g\) and \(h\). This so-called additional length graph is made into a metric space by assuming that edges are of length 1. The group \(G\) acts on \(\mathcal C_{AL}(G)\) by isometries. The authors prove that \(\mathcal C_{AL}(G)\) is \(\delta\)-hyperbolic. For Artin's braid groups, it is shown that the diameter is infinite. It is conjectured that \(\mathcal C_{AL}(G)\) is quasi-isometric to the curve graph of a punctured disc. Furthermore, it is proved that periodic and reducible braids act elliptically, while there exists a pseudo-Asanov braid which acts loxodromically.
