A natural bundle for a manifold M is a smooth bundle \(M_ c\to M\to M_ a\) where \(M_ a\) is aspherical (i.e. \(\pi_ i(M_ a)=0\) for \(i\geq 2)\), the fibre \(M_ c\) is connected and \(\pi_ 1(M_ c)\) is finite. The author proves the following theorem. Let M be a compact homogeneous manifold. Then the existence of natural bundles for M is equivalent to the condition that Tors \(\pi_ 1(M)\) is a subgroup in \(\pi_ 1(M)\).
