Foliations by hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature (Q807996)

The authors prove several results concerning codimension-one foliations of a complete Riemannian manifold whose leaves have constant mean curvature. Such foliations of \({\mathbb{R}}^ 3\) were studied previously by the first author, \textit{J. de Miranda Gomes} and \textit{A. M. da Silveira} [Bol. Soc. Bras. Mat., Nova Ser. 18, 1-12 (1987)] and \textit{W. H. Meeks} III [J. Differ. Geom. 27, 539-552 (1988; Zbl 0617.53007)].
