A unital of parameter q is a block design \(2-(q^ 3+1,q+1,1):\quad q^ 3+1\) points, a block contains \(q+1\) points, and two different points belong to one and only one block. Let \(H(q^ 2)\) be the Hughes plane on the regular nearfield of order \(q^ 3\) whose centre is a field of order q. A unital of parameter q is constructed in \(H(q^ 2)\).
