On a student-related optimal control problem (Q1122133)

In a recent paper, \textit{T. C. E. Cheng} and \textit{K. L. Teo} [Math. Modelling 9, 499-506 (1987)] discussed some further extensions of a student-related optimal control problem which was originally proposed by \textit{G. F. Raggett}, \textit{P. W. Hempson} and \textit{K. A. Jukes} [Bull., Inst. Math. Appl. 17, 133-136 (1981)] and later on modified by \textit{M. Parlar} [ibid. 20, 180-181 (1984)]. In this paper, we treat further extensions of the problem.
