    The authors consider the following boundary value problems \[ \begin{aligned} x'(t) &= p(t)\int^{\sigma(t)}_0 q(s) x(\tau(s))\,ds,\\ x(t) & = \varphi(t)\quad\text{for }t\in [\tau_0,0),\quad \liminf_{t\to+\infty} |x(t)|<+\infty\end{aligned} \] with data satisfying the conditions \[ p\in C(\mathbb{R}_+;(0,+\infty)),\quad q\in L_{\text{loc}}(\mathbb{R}_+; \mathbb{R}_+),\quad \tau,\sigma\in C(\mathbb{R}_+;\mathbb{R}), \] \[ 0\leq \sigma(t)\leq t,\quad \tau(t)< t\quad\text{for }t\in \mathbb{R}_+,\quad\text{and }\lim_{t\to+\infty} \sigma(t)= \lim_{t\to+\infty} \tau(t)= +\infty, \] \[ \tau_0= \text{inf}\{\tau(t): t\in\mathbb{R}_+\},\quad \varphi\in C([\tau_0, 0)),\quad \sup\{|\varphi(t)|: t\in [\tau_0,0)\}< +\infty. \] Moreover, if \(p\) and \(q\) are such that \[ \int^{+\infty}_0 p(t)\,dt=+\infty,\quad \int^{+\infty}_t q(s)\,ds> 0\quad\text{for any }t\in\mathbb{R}_+, \] then the problem has at least one solution. Further results are provided, with complete proofs, stating the existence of at least one solution, possessing a sequence of zeros tending to infinity. Also, the uniqueness is obtained, under extra conditions.
