Second-order boundary value problems of singular type (Q1272865)

Positive solutions are established to the singular second-order boundary value problem \[ y''+\phi(t)f(t,y,y')=0, \quad 0<t<1,\qquad y(0)=y'(1)=0. \] Singularities at (1) \(y=0\) and \(y'=0\), (2) \(y=0\) but not \(y'=0\), and (3) \(y'=0\) but not \(y=0\) are discussed separately.
