The equation in question is \(x^p u_t = (x^m u^n u_x)_x\), \(n \neq 0\). A non-classical symmetry is found, giving the nonlinear ODE \(s^p F = (s^m F^n F_s)_s\) as the corresponding reduction. This ODE is then solved for four physically relevant choices of the triple \((p,m,n)\).
