The author continues the study of lattice-ordered semigroups \((S,\wedge, \vee,\cdot)\) with greatest element \(e\) (i.e., \(a(b\vee c)= (ab)\vee (ac)\), \((a\vee b)c= (ac)\vee (bc)\) and \(a\leq e\) for all \(a,b,c\in S\)). She calls \(S\) regular if \(a\leq aea\) \(\forall a\in S\) and intraregular if \(a\leq ea^ 2 e\) \(\forall a\in S\). Furthermore, \(q\in S\) is a quasi- ideal element if \(qe\wedge eq\leq q\). Characterizations of regularity and intraregularity were given by the author in earlier papers [ibid. 19, 111-121 (1980; Zbl 0434.06015) and ibid. 23, 85-86 (1981; Zbl 0467.06010)]. Here the following results are added; (1) If \((S,\wedge,\vee, \cdot)\) is both regular and intraregular, then the set \(Q\) of all quasi-ideal elements of \(S\) forms a (von Neumann) regular subsemigroup of \((S,\cdot)\). (2) If \((S,\wedge, \vee, \cdot)\) is both regular and intraregular, then \(Q\) is a subband of \((S,\cdot)\). (3) If every quasi-ideal element of \(S\) is idempotent, then \((S,\wedge, \vee,\cdot)\) is both regular and intraregular.
