    In neuerer Zeit haben mehrere englische Mathematiker die Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung auf geometrische Probleme in Anwendung gebracht. Herr Tychsen giebt eine Darstellung der wichtigsten Resultate, welche man auf diesem Wege erlangt hat, indem er sich wesentlich auf Crofton's Abhandlung: On the theory of local probability (Phil. Trans. 1868, siehe F. d. M. I. 75, JFM 01.0075.05) stützt.
