The classical theorems of Newton and Ivory assert that the potential of a charged ellipsoid equals a constant in the interior of the ellipsoid and is constant on each confocal ambient ellipsoid. Using some methods by V. I. Arnol'd, the authors deduce the analogues of those theorems for hyperboloids of any signature in an arbitrary Euclidean space.
