The paper studies the Hilbert transform in the framework of Clifford analysis. Algebraic and geometric characterizations are given for this operator to be unitary. Several special cases are treated, including the Hilbert transform on the unit sphere \(S^n\) and the hyperplane \(R^n\) in \(R^{n+1}\).
