    The present paper considers the following problem \[ \begin{gathered} -\Delta_p u+ a(x) |u|^{p-2} u= |u|^{p^*-2} u\quad\text{in }\Omega,\\ u\in D^{1,p}_0(\Omega),\end{gathered} \] where \(\Omega\subseteq \mathbb{R}^N\), \(p^*= {pN\over N-p}\), \(N> p\geq 2\), \(a: \Omega\to\mathbb{R}^+\) is a function with \(a\in L^{N/p}(\mathbb{R}^N)\), \(\Delta_p\) is the \(p\)-Laplacian operator. Here the author using variational methods and the concentration-compactness principle obtains existence of at least one positive solutions. \(D^{1,p}_0\) denotes the closure \(C^\infty_0(\Omega)\) with respect to the norm \[ \| u\|= \Biggl(\int_\Omega |\nabla u|^p\,dx\Biggr)^{1/p}. \]
