    This paper deals with Nikolskij-type polynomial inequalities in \(L_ p\) spaces with exponential weight \(W_ a(x) = \exp(-| x|^ a)\), \(x\in R\) \((a>0)\). The main result is the following Theorem: Let \(0<a<\infty\), \(0<p\), \(q\leq \infty\). Then for every polynomial \(R_ n\) of degree \(\leq n\) it holds \(\| R_ n \cdot W_ a \|_{p(R)} \leq c N_ n (a,p,q) \| R_ n \cdot W_ a \|_ q\). where \[ N_ n (a,p,q) = \begin{cases} n^{\frac1a(\frac1p - \frac1q)}, \quad& \text{if } p\leq q, \\ n^{(1 - \frac1a)(\frac1q - \frac1p)}, \quad& \text{if } p>q, a>1, \\ [\lg(n+1)]^{\frac1q - \frac1p}, \quad& \text{if } p>1, a=1, \\ 1 \quad& \text{if } p>q, 0<a<1. \end{cases} \] The constant \(c = c(a,p,q) > 0\) is independent of \(n\) and \(R_ n\), and the Nikolskij constant \(N_ n\) is sharp.
