The author considers a domain \(\Omega\) constituted by strips parallel to the coordinate axes. The axes of the strips form a periodic lattice in \(\mathbb R^2\) with period \(\varepsilon\). The widths of the strips are variable, depend on the axes and are \(o(\varepsilon)\). The widths are in particular described by two given functions of one variable. The energy considered is the m-Dirichlet integral of \(u\) plus a nonlinear term depending only on \(u\). The main result of the paper is the explicit form of the \(\Gamma\)-limit as \(\varepsilon\) goes to \(0\). The \(\Gamma\)-limit has the form of a weighted, anisotropic m-Dirichlet integral plus a nonlinear term similar to the one of the approximating energies.
