On the types of information and mechanism design (Q1114567)

By mechanism design the communication structures used to extract and communicate information about the current state of environment is meant. The author concentrates on those mechanisms where the status of environment is determined by a team. He models the problem of whether a stated objective is satisfied by a mechanism as a performance function. In addition, he extends the current literature by including the class of problems where the `input-output' relationship is subject to constraints.
