On the fine spectra of the generalized \(r\)th difference operator \(\Delta^r_v\) on the sequence space \(\ell_1\) (Q2250195)

The main purpose of this paper is to determine the spectrum and the fine spectrum of the \(r\)-th difference operator \(\Delta _{\nu }^{r}\) on the sequence space \(\ell _{1}\). The operator \(\Delta _{\nu }^{r}\) over \(\ell _{1}\) is defined by \(\Delta _{\nu }^{r}(x)=(\Delta _{\nu }^{r}x_{k})_{k=0}^{\infty }=(\Delta _{\nu }^{r-1}x_{k}-\Delta _{\nu }^{r-1}x_{k-1})_{k=0}^{\infty }\) with \(x_{k}=\nu _{k}=0\) for \(k<0\), where \(x=(x_{k})\in \ell _{1},\) \(r\in \mathbb{N}\) and \(\nu =(\nu _{k})\) is either constant or strictly decreasing sequence of positive real numbers satisfying certain conditions.
