In the article ``Projective geometry with Clifford algebra'' by the author and \textit{R. Ziegler} [Acta Appl. Math. 23, No. 1, 25-63 (1991; Zbl 0735.51002)] geometric algebra was proposed for a coordinate-free formulation of projective geometry. Here the mathematical designs of the mentioned article are extended along 2 lines. 1) The standard concept of a linear transformation is extended to provide a direct coordinate-free formulation of projective transformations; 2) The concepts of projective ``split'' and ``conformal split'' are introduced and shown to reveal a deep connection between projective structures and the structure of Clifford algebra. They are used to simplify and coordinate relations between projective, conformal, affine and metric geometries.
