As we know well, Kac-Moody algebra is a generalization of finite-dimensional semisimple Lie algebras which independently and simultaneously discovered by Victor Kac and Robert Moody in 1968. Affine Lie algebras forms a special subclass of the class of Kac-Moody algebras. In 1990, Høegh-Krohn and Toresani, studied and classified a class of Lie algebras called quasisimple Lie algebras (QSLA) (see [\textit{R. Høegh-Krohn} and \textit{B. Torresani}, J. Funct. Anal. 89, No. 1, 106--136 (1990; Zbl 0792.17019)] in the list of references of the paper). Because of the root systems of QSLAs resembled the extended affine root systems (EARS) which introduced by K. Saito in 1985 (see [\textit{K. Saito}, Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 21, 75--179 (1985; Zbl 0573.17012)]), QSLAs were called extended affine Lie algebras (EALA). In 1997, QSLAs and their systems were studied thoroughly by the second author et al. [Extended affine Lie algebras and their root systems. Providence, RI: AMS (1997; Zbl 0879.17012)]. In 1987, by a method which is similar to the one of Chevalley and Demazure used for finite root systems in [\textit{C. Chevalley}, Tohoku Math. J. (2) 7, 14--66 (1955; Zbl 0066.01503); Exp. No. 219, 16 p. (1961; Zbl 0125.01705); \textit{M. Demazure}, Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 93, 369--413 (1965; Zbl 0163.27402)], Tits successfully established a group construction by generators and relations associated to Kac-Moody root systems in [\textit{J. Tits}, J. Algebra 105, 542--573 (1987; Zbl 0626.22013)]. Following \textit{J. Tits} [J. Algebra 105, 542--573 (1987; Zbl 0626.22013)], the authors establish the first results of the paper (Propositions 4.12 and 4.13) by defining certain groups (named Steinberg groups) associated to EALAs and EARSs by generators and relations which generalized the \textit{I. Kryliouk}'s results of [On the structure of quasi-simple Lie algebras and their automorphism groups. University of Saskatchewan (PhD thesis) (1995)]. Next, using the method of [\textit{V. G. Kac}, in: Infinite dimensional groups with applications, Publ., Math. Sci. Res. Inst. 4, 167--216 (1985; Zbl 0614.22006)] the authors give the last results of the paper (Propositions 4.20 and 4.22). Namely, they define the so caller ``integration'' groups for such EALAs and defined an epimorphism from Steinberg groups to these ``integration'' groups associated to a fixed EALA. Once again, these results also generalize results of Kryliouk in [loc. cit.].
