From the authors' introduction: ``The aim of this paper is to provide a theoretical treatment of the existence of independent random matching in a continuum population. In particular, the authors construct a joint agent-probability space, and randomized mutation, partial matching and match-induced type-changing functions that satisfy appropriate independence conditions.''
