Doubly periodic solutions of the modified Kawahara equation (Q2484894)

This paper deals with the modified Kawahara equation \[ u_t+ u_x+ u^2 u_x+ pu_{xxx}+ qu_{xxxxx}= 0. \] By using the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method, a series of Jacobi elliptic function solutions of \[ (z')^2= \tau_0+ az^2+ cz^4 \] is presented. Using these solutions, some doubly periodic solutions of the Kawahara equation are obtained.
