    Linear discrete-time systems with matched uncertainties are considered. The authors propose a framework in which the existing results for the static output feedback control of such systems based on Lyapunov and Riccati equations can be compared. A positive realness property is derived; it guarantees the uniform boundedness of the system state by either the Lyapunov or Riccati-based controller.
