\textit{H. P. Gumm} and \textit{A. Ursini} [ibid. 19, 45-54 (1984; Zbl 0547.08001)] proved that every ideal determined variety is congruence \(n\)- permutable for some \(n\geq 2\), and it is asked if all such varieties are even congruence 3-permutable. Now the (ideal determined) variety of all lower BCK-semilattices is congruence 4-permutable but not 3-permutable.
