    The paper is concerned with summability methods for double sequences being two-dimensional extensions of the power series methods \(J_ p\) for simple sequences: Given a power series \[ p(x,y) = \sum^ \infty_{m,n = 0} p_{mn} x^ my^ n, \quad (x,y) \in (0,1)^ 2, \] such that \(p(x,y) \to \infty\), \((x,y) \to (1,1)\), \((x,y) \in (0,1)^ 2\), a double sequence \(\{s_{mn}\}\) of complex numbers is called bounded \(J_ p\)-summable to \(\sigma\) if \(p_ s (x,y) = \sum^ \infty_{m, n = 0} p_{mn} s_{mn} x^ my^ n\) is convergent for \((x,y) \in (0,1)^ 2\) and if \[ \sup_{(x, y) \in (0,1)^ 2} \bigl | p_ s (x,y)/p(x,y) \bigr | < \infty, \quad \lim_{(x,y) \to (1,1), (x,y) \in (0,1)^ 2} p_ s (x,y)/p(x,y) = \sigma. \] Beside some remarks on the permanency of \(J_ p\)-methods, sufficient conditions are given such that bounded \(J_ p\)- summability of \(\{s_{mn}\}\) implies bounded \(J_ q\)-summability of the generalized Nörlund-transform \(\{(N_{rp} s)_{mn}\}\) of \(\{s_{mn}\}\).
