Linear, finite-dimensional continuous-time nonstationary control systems are considered. Definitions of attainable sets and asymptotically attainable elements are given. Using pure topological and geometrical methods, certain properties of the attainable sets are investigated. The connections with the so-called bounded realization problem are also discussed. Moreover, several remarks and comments on the behaviours of the attainable sets are presented. A simple illustrative example is also given. Similar attainability problems have been recently considered in the monograph [\textit{A. G. Chentsov}, Asymptotic Attainability (1997; Zbl 0859.93002)].
