Exponential energy decay estimate for the solutions of internally damped wave equation in a bounded domain (Q1378743)

The exponential decay for solutions to \(y_{tt}= \Delta y+\mu\Delta y_t\), \(\mu>0\), \(y= y(t,x)\), \(x\in\Omega\) a bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), with boundary conditions \(y= \partial y/\partial\nu= 0\) (\(\nu\): normal) is proved using energy methods.
