    The author examines non-stationary two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with hyperdissipation with periodic spatial boundary conditions (i.e. on a two-dimensional torus). Using Riesz transform, Littlewood-Paley theory and Fourier series, existence and uniqueness of strong solutions are proved in a special separable Banach space adapted to the above equations.
