Controlling strong scarring for quantized ergodic toral automorphisms. (Q1413732)

A simple class of models is considered for which the authors analyze the following problem: do there exist exceptional sequences of eigenfunctions allowing the semiclassical limit measure or a limit different from Liouville measure? They prove that in the semiclassical limit the eigenfunctions of quantized ergodic symplectic toral automorphisms cannot concentrate in a measure on closed orbits of the dynamics. It is shown that the mass of the pure point component of the limit measure must be smaller than two thirds of the total mass.
