The author considers a strongly local regular Dirichlet form on the space \(L^2(X,m)\), where \(X\) is a complete metric space with respect to a distance \(d\), such that the energy density of \(d\) is less than \(1\) and \(m\) is a positive measure with \(\operatorname {supp}(m)=X\), which is doubling on the balls (for the distance \(d\)) with constant \(c_0\), depending on the centre of the ball. The author assumes a scaled Poincaré inequality on balls with constant \(c_1\), depending on the radius of balls. Under suitable assumptions on \(c_0\) and \(c_1\) a Harnack's inequality for positive harmonics is proved and the explicit dependence of the constant in Harnack's inequality on \(c_0\) and \(c_1\) is given. The result is used to give assumptions on \(c_0\) and \(c_1\) under which the harmonics are continuous.
