    The paper under review settles many long standing conjectures in Diophantine approximation. The paper is well written and nicely laid out. Some of the consequences of the main results of this paper are {\parindent=0.7cm\begin{itemize}\item[(i)] The proof of the higher dimensional version of Badziahin-Pollington-Velani theorem [\textit{D. Badziahin} et al., Ann. Math. (2) 174, No. 3, 1837--1883 (2011; Zbl 1268.11105)] which is formerly known as Schmidt's conjecture. \item[(ii)] The answer to a question raised by \textit{H. Davenport} [Mathematika 11, 50--58 (1964; Zbl 0122.05903)] regarding the simultaneously badly approximable points on manifolds. In particular it is proved that the set of simultaneously badly approximable points on a manifold has full Hausdorff dimension. \item[(iii)] A proof that there exist transcendental numbers that are badly approximable by algebraic numbers of bounded degree. This solves two conjectures (problems 24 and 25) stated by \textit{Y. Bugeaud} [Approximation by algebraic numbers. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2004; Zbl 1055.11002)]. \end{itemize}}
