    The authors consider the second-order semilinear evolution inclusion \[ y''(t) - Ay(t) \in F(t, y(t)), \qquad t \geq 0, \] in a Banach space \(E,\) where \(F : [0, \infty) \times E \to E\) is a bounded, closed, convex multivalued map and \(A\) is the infinitesimal generator of a strongly continuous cosine family \(C(t)\) in \(E.\) The (nonlocal) initial conditions are \[ y(0) + g(y(\cdot)) = y_0, \qquad y'(0) = y_1, \] with \(y_0, y_1 \in E\) and \(g : C([0; \infty); E) \to E.\) The authors reduce this problem to a fixpoint equation for a multivalued map in the Fréchet space \(C([0, \infty); E)\) and show the existence using an extension of a theorem of H.
