This paper deals with the spectral properties of stationary solutions \(v(t,x)=v(x)\) of the following one-parameter families of PDEs \[ v_t= \sum^{2n}_{i=0} a_i(\mu) \partial^i_xv+ f_\mu(v,\partial^1_x v,\dots,v \partial_x^{2n-1}v), \tag{1} \] where \(v\in\mathbb{R}^m\), \(\mu\in\mathbb{R}\) is a parameter, \(a_i(\mu)\) are real \(m\times m\) matrices and \(f_\mu\) is sufficient smooth function. Furthermore, the equation (1) is supposed to be reversible in the spatial variable \(x\). After changing the variables \(u_i=\partial^i_xv\) and some manipulation, the equation (1) can be rewritten in the form \[ A_\mu u_t+u_x= F_\mu (\mu), \tag{2} \] where \(u=(u_0,u_1, \dots,u_{2n-1})\). The stationary solutions \(u(x)\) of (2) satisfy the equation \[ u_x=F_\mu(u). \tag{3} \] The authors study the spectral properties of periodic and localized stationary solutions. They consider the spectral problem \[ \lambda A_\mu\xi+\xi_x-D_u F_\mu \bigl( u(x)\bigr) \xi=0\tag{4} \] in the space of continuous functions \(\xi\in C (\mathbb{R}, \mathbb{C}^{2n})\) with sup-norm. It turns out that the center manifold of equation (3) can be used to find the spectrum of the problem (4).
