Let \(\gamma:S^n\to \mathbb{R}_+\) be a continuous function and let \(\Gamma_{\gamma,\theta}:=\{x\in\mathbb{R}^{n+1}:x\cdot\theta\leq\gamma(\theta)\}\), for \(\theta\in S^n\). The Wulff shape associated to \(\gamma\) is by definition the set \(\mathcal{W}_{\gamma}=\bigcap_{\theta\in S^n}\Gamma_{\gamma,\theta}\). The dual Wulff shape of a Wulff shape \(\mathcal{W}_{\gamma}\) is the Wulff shape associated to \(\tilde\gamma(\theta)=1/(w(-\theta))\) where \((\theta,w(\theta))\in S^{n}\times\mathbb{R}_+\cong\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\setminus\{0\}\) is the intersection point between \(\mathcal{W}_{\gamma}\) and the half line in direction \(\theta\). The authors give a characterization of the Wulff shapes that are self-dual, that is, the dual Wulff shape equals the original Wulff shape. They prove that a Wulff shape \(\mathcal{W}_{\gamma}\) is self-dual if and only if the spherical convex body induced by \(\mathcal{W}_{\gamma}\) is of constant width \(\pi/2\). The spherical convex body is constructed by means of the stereographic projection. Explicit examples of self-dual and nonself-dual Wulff shapes are given. The authors raise the following question: When is the dual Wulff shape congruent to the original Wulff shape?
