In this interesting paper the author study the main properties of solutions to one family of integral and differential equations with delay which occur in models of living systems. In the ntroduction the authors state the model equation in the integral form. Next, they prove that with a certain survival function the integral equation can be reduced to the equivalent Cauchy problem for a nonautonomous delay differential equation. In Section 1, they justify the correctness of the integral model. In Sections 2--4 they study the asymptotic behavior of solutions to equations of the considered class. In Section 5 they give an example of equations with a typical function (one of variants of the Hill function) describing the rate of generation of system. The paper contains an extensive list of 22 references. The findings of the paper are interesting.
