The authors introduce three ``symmetricity'' properties of symmetric monoidal model categories: ``symmetric h-monoidality'', an enhancement of h-monoidality from [\textit{M. A. Batanin} and \textit{C. Berger}, Theory Appl. Categ. 32, 148--253 (2017; Zbl 1368.18006)]; ``symmetroidality''; and ``symmetric flatness''. They show that some of these properties are preserved under sufficiently nice adjunctions and under left Bousfield localization. In another work [``Admissibility and rectification of colored symmetric operads'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1410.5675}], the authors show that these ``symmetricity'' properties can be used to transfer model category structures to categories of algebras over colored operads. Here, as an application, they show that the category of algebras over a colored operad in \(D\)-modules inherits a model category structure. Moreover they show that weak equivalences of such operads induce Quillen equivalence of model categories.
