The author considers the Cauchy problem for a linearized system of equations of motion of viscous compressible exponentially stratified fluid with the single space variable \(x\in\mathbb R\) in Boussinesq approximation. The classical solution is constructed, and its asymptotic behaviour for large time \(t\) is analyzed.
