    Let \(A\) denote the space of analytic functions in the unit disc \(\Delta= \{z\in C:| z|< 1\}\) which are normalized by \(f(0)= f'(0)-1= 0\) and for \(\alpha\in C\setminus\{-1\}\), \(\text{Re\,}\alpha\geq -1\) let \[ \widetilde{\mathfrak R}(\alpha,\lambda)= \{f\in A: f'+\alpha zf''(z)\prec 1+\lambda z,\,z\in \Delta\}. \] Several results concerning the functions from \(\widetilde{\mathfrak R}(\alpha,\lambda)\) are proved. Examples: (1) If \(0\leq\alpha'< \alpha\) or \(|\alpha- \alpha'|<|\alpha+ 1|(|\alpha|- |\alpha'|)\), then \(\widetilde{\mathfrak R}(\alpha,\lambda)\subset\widetilde{\mathfrak R}(\alpha', \lambda)\). (2) If \(f,g\in\widetilde{\mathfrak R}(\alpha,\lambda)\) and \(0< {\lambda\over| 1+\alpha|}\leq \sqrt{{4\over\sqrt{5}}}\) then the Hadamard product \(f* g\) is starlike univalent in \(\Delta\). (3) If \(f\in A\) and \(| zf''(z)|< \mu\) \((z\in \Delta)\), \(0<\mu\leq 1\), then \(f\) is starlike univalent in \(\Delta\) and \({zf'(z)\over f(z)}\prec 1+ z\), \(z\in\Delta\).
