It is known that MV-algebras can be represented as unit intervals of abelian unital \(l\)-groups (\(lu\)-groups) and that, moreover, MV-subalgebras and MV-ideals correspond to \(lu\)-subgroups and \(lu\)-ideals of abelian \(lu\)-groups, respectively. The authors of the paper use these facts to introduce and study MV-convergences and Cauchy structures of MV-algebras. They outline the general theory and apply it to three important particular MV-convergences (order-, polar- and \(\alpha \)-convergence) and their corresponding Cauchy completions.
