The authors analyze a quasilinear degerate equation with a weight of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type. A particular attention is payed to the existence and uniqueness of entropy solutions solutions, when the source term is in \(L^1\). The nonexistence via a generalization of Picone identity is also investigated when the source terms depends on the unknown function \(u\).
