Since the 1980's, several generalizations of the concept of absolutely summing linear operators have appeared in the literature. Most of these extensions are confined to the case of polynomials and multilinear mappings between Banach spaces. This interesting paper is a nice contribution to the multilinear theory of absolutely summing mappings. The author shows new distinctive features between some of the multilinear generalizations of absolutely summing linear operators, namely, absolutely summing multilinear operators, dominated multilinear operators and multiple summing multilinear operators. Let \(X_{1},\dots,X_{n},Y\) be Banach spaces over \(\mathbb{K}=\mathbb{R}\) or \(\mathbb{C}\). A continuous \(n\)-linear map \(T:X_{1}\times\cdots\times X_{n}\rightarrow Y\) is absolutely \((r;s)\)-summing (\(T\in\mathcal{L} _{as(r;s)}(X_{1},\dots,X_{n};Y)\)) if \[ (T(x_{j}^{(1)},\dots,x_{j}^{(n)})_{j=1}^{\infty}\in l_{r}(Y) \] whenever \((\varphi_{k}(x_{j}^{(k)}))_{j=1}^{\infty}\in l_{s}(X_{k}),\) \(k=1,\dots,n,\) for all bounded linear functionals \(\varphi_{k}:X_{k} \rightarrow\mathbb{K}\). In the case \(r=s\), we simply say that \(T\) is absolutely \(r\)-summing and instead of \(\mathcal{L}_{as(r;r)}\) we write \(\mathcal{L} _{as,r}\). One of the main results of the paper, in the reviewer's opinion, is the following inclusion-type result, which is obtained by the author as an interesting consequence of previous results involving mixing summing operators: Theorem. Let \(1\leq p\leq q<\infty\). Then \[ \mathcal{L}_{as,q}(X_{1},\dots,X_{n};Y)\subset\mathcal{L}_{as,p}(X_{1} ,\dots,X_{n};Y) \] if one of the following conditions hold: {\parindent6.5mm \begin{itemize}\item[(i)] \(1\leq p\leq q\leq2\) and one of \(X_{1},\dots,X_{n}\) has cotype \(2.\) \item[(ii)] \(1\leq p\leq q<s^{\ast}<2\) and one of \(X_{1},\dots,X_{n}\) has cotype \(s>2\). \end{itemize}} Similar results were obtained, independently and using different techniques, by \textit{A. T. Bernardino} in the paper [``On cotype and a Grothendieck-type theorem for absolutely summing multilinear operators'', to appear in Quaestiones Mathematicae] and by \textit{O. Blasco} et al. in the preprint [``On the interplay between different summability properties of multilinear mappings'', arXiv:1103.4040]. All these results extend previous inclusion-type results from \textit{G. Botelho, H.-A. Braunss, H. Junek} and \textit{D. Pellegrino} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 137, No.~3, 991--1000 (2009; Zbl 1175.46037)], \textit{G. Botelho, C. Michels} and \textit{D. Pellegrino} [Rev. Mat. Complut. 23, No.~1, 139--161 (2010; Zbl 1210.46031)] and \textit{D. Popa} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 368, No.~1, 157--168 (2010; Zbl 1198.47036)].
