Decompose \(\mathbb{R}^d\) as \(\mathbb{R}^d= \mathbb{R}^{d_1}\times \mathbb{R}^{d_2}\). For a certain class of potentials \(U_b\) periodic w.r.t. translations of the sublattice \(\mathbb{Z}^{d_1}\), random potentials \(V_b\) ergodic w.r.t. translations of \(\mathbb{Z}^{d_1}\), and random potentials \(V_s\) of alloy type, i.e. \[ V_s(x)= \sum_{i\in\mathbb{Z}^{d_1}} q_i f(x_1- i, x_2),\quad x= (x_1, x_2)\in \mathbb{R}^{d_1}\times \mathbb{R}^{d_2}, \] \((q_i)\) a family of i.i.d. random variables, it is proved that the integrated density of states of the random Schrödinger operator \[ -\Delta+ u_b+ V_b+ V_s \] exhibits Lifshitz tails near the bottom of the spectrum. From this Anderson localization for low energies is inferred.
