Let \((M,\omega)\) be a closed symplectic manifold, and let \(\varphi:M\to M\) be a Hamiltonian symplectomorphism. Let us define \[ \text{Arn} (M,\omega):= \min_\varphi \operatorname {Fix} \varphi, \] where by \(\operatorname {Fix} \varphi\) is denoted by the number of fixed points of \(\varphi\). The paper deals with the Arnold conjecture, which claims \[ \text{Arn} (M,\omega)\geq \text{Crit} (M) \] where by \(\text{Crit} (M)\) is denoted \(\min \{\operatorname {crit} \varphi\}\), here \(\operatorname {crit} \varphi\) is the number of critical points of \(\varphi\) and \(\varphi\) runs over all Hamiltonian symplectomorphisms. Under some natural conditions the author gives a positive answer to this conjecture.
