This paper deals with the control performance of nonfeedback methods in controlling chaos in the presence of random noise in the system. The authors consider the control schemes for two dissipative, nonautonomous systems, the Murali-Lakshmanan-Chua circuit and the Duffing-Ueda oscillator. The authors show that the constant force method is more robust in controlling the two noisy chaotic systems when compared to the other three methods of control, that is a) weak periodic force, b) periodic delta-pulses, c) rectangular-pulses.
